Please join us as we honor and celebrate former club president Larry Gray by opening the Sunday riding season with our signature Mashpee to Wood’s Hole (and back) ride on Sunday, April 30th at 8AM starting in the parking lot of Mashpee High School.
This ride is a beautiful trip through Mashpee and Falmouth. Depending on the wind direction, the ride either runs counterclockwise through East Falmouth, down to Woods Hole (with a stop at the Steamship Authority for a quick break and use of restrooms) and the back through Falmouth Heights along Surf Drive or follows that same route in reverse to keep the wind at our backs (usually) along the ocean. Early in the season, this ride is suitable for almost any rider capable of making the 33 mile distance at a reasonable pace. We usually average about 16MPH over the course of the ride and re-group frequently. There aren’t too many options to shorten the route, however, so be prepared to go the full distance. If you have questions or concerns about the ride, please contact capecodcyclingclub@gmail.com and ask.
This ride continues each Sunday through September at the same time and location.
